Terms & Conditions

  • Upon registration, all competitors agree to abide by the terms, conditions, rules and regulations set by the Pargad Heritage Run.
  • Terms and conditions may change at short notice.
  • The decision of the race director in any dispute shall be final and binding on all parties.
  • The Outplay Sports Foundation reserves the right to modify or modify any aspect of the Pargad Heritage Run travel program in response to unforeseen circumstances to ensure the safety and safety of all participants.

Registration method

  • Information on filling up the online registration form is given on the event link.
  • Registration for the marathon can be done online through our official website pargad.in 
  • The last date for registration is June 4th, 2023 prior to the event. If there is any discrepancy in the application, it will not be accepted.
  • There are 2 separate categories for runners:
  1. A) Students Category (Kolhapur District) FREE
  2. B) Open Category ( Anyone can participate) PAID 
  • Only your Aadhaar card should show if asked by authorities as proof of residency.
  • Registration will be on a first come first served basis. Given the limited registration slot, we recommend that you register as early as possible on your respective dates.
  • 6 school contestants / 6 college contestants / ALL CADETS OF NCC & NSS CAN PARTICIPATE | T-shirt size should be mentioned as XS | S | M | L | XL
  • Breakfast will be provided free of charge to all on the day of the event on 4th June 2023. Accommodation and meals will be available for paid participants only on 3rd June 2023 *
  • All schools, colleges, sports boards, sports training centers and related institutes in Kolhapur district will be able to participate in the Pargad Heritage Run free of cost as three selected student contestants each. However the online registration is available at the following Link: pargad.in

Not transferable

  • Registration as well as BIB is non-transferable and no person will be allowed to participate on behalf of others.
  • The organizers reserve the right to cancel the registration in case of violation even after the completion of the race.

Ability to run long distances

  • Registered participants must have good health and the ability to run long distances.
  • Do not participate in this running program if you are suffering from chronic illness, heart problems, respiratory problems or other serious illnesses.

Certificates and medals

  • Instead of medals, saplings and e-certificates will be given only to successful participants of 05KM, 10KM and 21KM.
  • Participants will be considered successful if the organizers / judges are satisfied that they have completed the race without violating any explicit or implied rules of the race.
  • The winners will be honored with their prize money and special guests at the Shield event.
  • The decision of the organizers will be final.

T-shirt

  • Participants can purchase official Pargad Heritage Run T-shirts from distribution points.
  • Participants are free to wear any T-shirt of their choice, only with the permission of the race director.
  • The size of the T-shirt will be according to the availability and first come first served basis.
  • Sponsored FREE T-shirt (optional only possible through sponsorship )

Take care of the environment

  • Our goal is to provide a clean and waste-free environment throughout the event.
  • Participants are expected to use only designated dustbins for waste disposal.
  • Any unintentional or irresponsible act of a participant throwing garbage on and around the street can result in immediate cancellation of the participant.

Rewards

  • Positions will be determined by the order in which participants cross the finish line, regardless of the start time.
  • The decision of the organizers regarding the prize winners will be final.
  • The distribution of prizes will depend on the decision of the organizers.
  • Although the organizers reserve the right to withdraw any prizes, they have been advertised and publicized.

Use of information

By entering the race, registrants are allowed to use their name, voice or picture in any broadcast, broadcast, advertisement, advertisement on another account of this event or any other subsequent event for free.

Restrictions on commercial use of the event by participants

Participants will not use the event for any commercial purpose including advertising, advertising of business activities, display of business logos and sale of products but not limited to. Violation of this restriction may result in cancellation of registration by the organizers without any other legal action.

 Event cancellation

  • This event will only be canceled or postponed due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances.
  • In such a case, the organizers will not be liable for any costs and expenses incurred due to such cancellation or postponement.

No liability

  • Participation is at the participant’s own risk.
  • The organizers are not responsible for any loss incurred by the participants as a result of participation, in any name. This omission of liability also applies to serious damages such as all possible damages due to injury or death.
  • The participant declares that he is aware of the fact that participation requires good physical and mental health and declares that he has met this requirement and has adequately prepared for the event through training and other means.
  • The participant compensates the organizer against the third party for the loss incurred due to the action or omission related to the event which gives credit to the participant.
  • The organizers will not be held responsible for any adverse effects, if any, that may be caused by the use of water or any other material in the event.
  • The organizers will not be responsible for any harm done to the participants due to the actions of the participants, volunteers, spectators etc.

Age

  • The age limit for different categories is as follows
  • 21 km Jungle Half Marathon – Over 16 years (10th class or above)
  • 10 km Dream Green Run – over 13 years (8th class or above)
  • 5 km Joy of Jungle – over 8 years (4th class or above)

* Standard fitness level is required for all categories. Participants with a medical prescription or any health problem please consult a doctor

Time system: Gun time

  • Gun time is when the race begins (the sound of gunfire) and when the participant crosses the finish line.
  • Sorted by finishing time and runner gun time (no chip time)

Entries

  • Open to men and women, individuals, corporations and teams.
  • Start and end point Shri. Bhavani Temple, Pargad.
  • Check Point 1 Stickers: Vitthal Rukmini Temple, Namkhol (Joy of Jungle _ Return to starting point)
  • Distance from starting point 2.5 km
  • Check Point 2 Stickers: Mr. Sateri Bhavai Temple, Terwan Gaothanwadi (Jungle Dream Run _ Return to starting point)
  • Distance from starting point 5 km
  • Check Point 3 Stickers: Waghotre Ramghat (Jungle Half Marathon _ Return to starting point)
  • Distance from starting point 10.5 km
  • To ensure distance, ripples will start in batches in small groups of runners (approximately 50 each). Runners have to start from their respective batches.

Race stages

  • Cutoff points must be presented to protect the safety of competitors so that competitors do not compete in dangerous situations. Each stage allows for a generously short course for those competing at such a pace that the competitor’s chances of returning safely are at stake.
  • Only runners who have completed 21k (half marathon) in less than 3 hours will be allowed to register for the on-field event. You will need to upload your Finisher Certificate at the time of registration.

Eligibility time to reach the checkpoint:

  • 21 km Jungle Half Marathon – Maximum 2 hours to reach the return point
  • 10 km Dream Green Run – Maximum 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the return point
  • 5 km Joy of Jungle – Maximum 45 minutes to reach the return point

Fours

  • Each of these 2.5 km (first checkpoint) 5 km (second checkpoint) 10.5 km (third checkpoint) will be marked by race category.
  • Competitors must go through all fours on each stage.
  • It is mandatory to affix a checkpoint sticker on the BIB number.
  • All contestants will receive a sticker (at the starting point) at the beginning of the race and they will have to affix the stickers on each BIB number without fail at each checkpoint or the contestant will be disqualified as a result.
  • Water will be delivered to each checkpoint and must be emptied into individual water bottles (or similar).
  • Under no circumstances should any contestant leave the checkpoint carrying empty plastic bottles or throw plastic bottles or similar on the trail path or in the forest, they will be disqualified.
  • Each checkpoint will also provide an opportunity to seek medical help if necessary.
  • Failure to pass the checkpoint will result in disqualification.

Completion of a checkpoint

  • Water will be supplied in the final line of each phase.
  • Once settled here you will be given the opportunity to seek medical help if needed.

Mandatory equipment

  • Water bottle and hydration reservoir
  • A pair of extra clothing
  • Hat
  • Running shoes
  • Rain protection
  • Personal medicine
  • Food (Energy Bar / Chocolate)
  • Whistle for safety
  • Headlamps and flashlights
  • Competitors will be solely responsible for electronics and valuables *
  • Resident competitors should bring a blanket to sleep in the tent *
  • As of 3rd June 2023, the food and accommodation facility is for paid participants only with the add-on package. *

Race number

  • Each contestant will be given a race number
  • It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure that they are always clearly displayed during the race.
  • Race directors may impose restrictions on sponsor logos on participants’ wearables due to potential sponsors and media broadcast considerations.
  • BIB distribution will be done at Chandgad Panchayat Samiti Office -from 9 am to 5 pm. Or on the Event Day. 
  • Participants will be informed about the location via email and text message and on the official Facebook page of Pargad Heritage Run.
  • BIB can also be collected the night before the event
  • Delegates may collect a copy of your ID proof and a list of participants’ names on your behalf.

Collection of running numbers

Participants may be asked to pay zero or nominal amount for Running Number / BIB. Participants will have to collect the BIB collection within the stipulated time, but not the event date.

Food

  • All competitors must eat enough food, both before and during the race.
  • Breakfast will be available to all participants in the Pargad Heritage Run from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm on the day of the main event.
  • As of 3rd June 2023 the food and accommodation facility is for paid participants only with the add-on package. *

Water supply

  • At each checkpoint participants will have to fill their own water bottle with a full capacity of 500ml.
  • It is the responsibility of the individual competitor to manage their water intake and prevent dehydration.
  • Race organizers will not take any responsibility for the contestants who do not use the water provided by the race officials.

Snacks and water points

  • Organizers have tried to arrange water and snacks at regular intervals but there is no commitment and participants are advised to carry their own luggage as per their need. Further, participants should use water and other materials at their own risk and the organizers will not be responsible for the consequences of use.

Outside help

  • Assistance is only permitted by race officers and medical personnel.
  • This is a self-contained foot race.
  • No traffic or outside arrangements are allowed between checkpoints.
  • Any violation of this rule will be taken seriously and will result in disqualification of the contestant or competitors.

Voluntary withdrawal from the race

  • Competitors wishing to withdraw from the race may do so at any time by contacting and informing the race official of their intention to withdraw.
  • They will be taken to base camp as soon as it becomes reasonably viable.

Penalty

  • The time penalty will be added to the individual time at the end of each phase and the order will be adjusted accordingly.
  • An appeal against any penalty must be made by the Race Director before the next stage can begin.
  • Violation of any rules and regulations will result in a penalty of 15 minutes per violation
  • There will be a 15 minute penalty for all missing items on the mandatory gear list
  • Any intentional attempt to deviate from the course route, no shortcuts through this jungle, will be taken very seriously resulting in potential disqualification (not including actual loss).

Disqualification

  • Disqualification will result in the race being left without a competitor ranking and no refunds, transportation and accommodation to the finish line will be at the expense of the runners without staying at the Pargad Heritage Run Base Camp.

Overall and stage placement

  • Competitors will be notified according to their individual totals and stage performances in Hours, Minutes, Seconds Rank and Times

Health and safety

  • The safety and health of all competitors, support staff and volunteers is paramount.
  •  Anyone entering this environment must take precautions against malaria, dengue and other essential vaccines
  • Every runner should take all possible measures to protect themselves from dehydration and fatigue.
  • A medical team will always be on hand to provide minor and emergency medical treatment and help in case of need.
  • The course path is well marked along the forest paths and paths.
  • In the event of a mishap, the search and rescue team will be ready and willing to search for them.

Transportation

  • January 30 at 3 a.m. on the day of the event. All schools and colleges should take note that the facility of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (ST) will be made available to the contestants from Chandgad depot at 30 and 4 o’clock. Also by planning more trains at the time of return. T. Will be facilitated. S. T. All buses will stop at Pargad route.

Parking

  • More parking information will be available closer to race day.
  • Rs. 20 / – per two wheeler,
  • Rs. 50 / – per small four wheeler
  • 100 / – per vehicle for large vehicle or bus
  • Pro Parking Tips: When choosing a location, we strongly recommend parking outside the course route to get out easily after the race. Also, due to the congestion, we suggest that you be in your parking lot as soon as possible as race crews will begin closing the roads from 5:00 AM.
  • We work hard to ensure that all participants have a pleasant parking experience. There are several parking lots available for use at Pargad. However, we cannot control all the parking conditions at Pargad on the day of the race! Most of the lots available for parking are managed by the Forest Department and the Joint Forest Management Committee.
  • Our best advice – the sooner you park the better!

Road closed

Many roads in Pargad will be closed during the entire Saturday and race days as we prepare the course.

We strongly recommend that you arrive early on the day of the race to ensure that you do not encounter any problems when our course is closed at 5:00 AM.

To be safe, we advise you to park outside the perimeter of the course. Future provision!

Follow the following terms and conditions for Pargad Heritage Run 2023 on 4th June 2023

  • Only runners who have completed both doses of their covid vaccination will be allowed to register and run. You will need to upload your final vaccination certificate at the time of registration.
  • Registration is subject to final approval of government authorities.
  • If the event has to be canceled due to covid restrictions, you will be registered till next year (Pargad Heritage Run 2023), no refund will be given.
  • Relatives or friends will not be allowed at the race venue. Only participants with official bibs will be allowed to enter the holding area on the day of the race.
  • It is mandatory to wear a face mask and social distance at the beginning and end. Organizers will strictly implement the appropriate Covid Protocol. Any runner found violating the rules will be disqualified and banned from the event.
  • If any runner is suspected to be infected after reading the temperature and / or pulse, the runner will be barred from participating for the safety of other participants.
